In 2022, under the supervision of Professor Qurbon Amirovich Chariyev, a Doctor of Economic Sciences, Shohsuvor Azizov defended his PhD thesis in the field of Agricultural Economics, specialization 08.00.04, titled "Enhancing the Organizational and Economic Foundations for Creating and Increasing Added Value in Peasant Farms."

The primary goal of Azizov Shohsuvor's dissertation was to develop scientific proposals and practical recommendations for improving the organizational and economic foundations for creating and increasing added value in peasant farms under the conditions of economic liberalization.

In his research, Shohsuvor Azizov achieved the following practical results:

  • established a method for calculating the added value created in the value chain segments for different types of agricultural products grown in peasant farms, using coefficients, and proposed ways to apply this method;
  • developed a methodological approach for increasing added value in peasant farms and reducing product wastage based on the development of a system for storing and processing agricultural products at home before selling them;
  • recommended procedures and structural-management compositions for the formation of integrated cooperatives, based on a share-based payment mechanism and self-financing, including material incentives;
  • grounded the methods for enhancing added value and profits in peasant farms through the implementation of a contractual system between the subjects of the value creation chain and peasant farms in the processes of producing agricultural products and delivering them to consumers.

The conclusions, suggestions, and recommendations from the developed methodological-practical directions can be utilized by the Republic of Uzbekistan's Ministry of Agriculture, other relevant ministries, regional administrations, state bodies, and organizations for future development of peasant farms, strengthening their position in the added value chain through the development of Programs and specific measures. Furthermore, methodological-practical developments and other significant analytical results, information resources can be used in the educational processes of higher and specialized secondary educational institutions.

Throughout the research, Shohsuvor Azizov participated in 4 international and 11 national scientific-practical conferences. He has published a total of 8 articles on the topic of his dissertation in both local and foreign journals. Currently, he is continuing his work on his doctoral dissertation.
