Her research, specialized in 10.00.06 - Comparative Literature, Comparative Linguistics, and Translation Studies—focuses on "The Moral Evaluation of the Human Being in the Linguistic Landscape of the World (Based on English and Uzbek Proverbs)."

The object of Mahkamova Munisxon's research consists of proverbs in the English and Uzbek languages that express moral evaluations of human beings. Notably, the current trend in global linguistics emphasizes the axiological (evaluative) approach towards paremiological units, especially those reflecting the spiritual-moral and socio-cultural worldview of the people, as well as possessing significant educational importance. Indeed, the issues of expressing the moral evaluation of individuals within the context of spiritual, moral, and socio-cultural values have always been a pertinent aspect of the world's linguistic landscape. Within the axiological approach, the study of the semantics of paremiological units reflecting the lifestyle, worldview, behavior, and cultural standards of the people holds theoretical and practical significance.

In our country, efforts are made to develop the field of philology, enhance the role of language in fostering patriotism and loyalty to national traditions and values among the youth, and ensure the preservation and development of the languages of different nations and ethnic groups. In both English and Uzbek linguistics, identifying directions that determine the life activities, worldview, behavior, and cultural standards of humanity in the modern world is of great importance. This essentially shapes the proverb-specific linguistic landscape of the world. The interconnectedness of language and culture, primarily manifested in the stable expressions of language that reflect proverbs, despite being an area of significant potential study, has been relatively underexplored in linguistic literature. Munisxon Mahkamova's research analyzes and describes the representational characteristics of humans, the positive and negative aspects of evaluation, and the national-cultural uniqueness of the moral evaluation of humans within the linguistic landscape of the world, as exemplified by English and Uzbek proverbs.
