
The Republican Scientific-Practical Conference “Current Issues of Business Development in New Uzbekistan” was organized in collaboration with government bodies, academia, and industry on sustainable entrepreneurship and inclusive economic growth.
On October 28, 2025, the ISFT Institute successfully hosted the Republican Scientific-Practical Conference “Current Issues of Business Development in New Uzbekistan.” The Department of Management organised the event in partnership with the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Ministry of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change, and the Academy of Public Administration under the President of Uzbekistan.
The conference served as an open platform for cross-sectoral dialogue among policymakers, academics, and business leaders to explore practical solutions for economic diversification, corporate governance, and environmental sustainability within the framework of New Uzbekistan’s Development Strategy 2030.
It contributed to SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals).
The plenary session brought together over 250 participants representing ministries, universities, and the private sector.
Speakers included:
- Rasul Khusherbayev, Advisor to the Minister of Ecology, Environmental Protection and Climate Change, who addressed environmental law reforms and sustainable entrepreneurship;
- Muzaffar Abdurakhimov, Chief Specialist at the Ministry of Economy and Finance, who presented on state policies supporting SMEs and innovation;
- Dr Aktam Kholov, Dean at the Academy of Public Administration, who discussed risk management in business governance;
- Prof. Omonullo Khamdamov (Tashkent State University of Economics), who analysed corporate financial management mechanisms;
- Dr Elmurodov Shokhjahon (Tashkent International University of Chemistry) explored the link between the shadow economy, business growth, and well-being.
ISFT faculty members, including Dr Bexzod Khudaybergenov and Dr Kamola Yuldasheva, presented research on corporate rehabilitation mechanisms, innovation in industrial management, and gender inclusivity in business education.
Outcomes included recommendations for policy coordination between government bodies and educational institutions to develop entrepreneurial education, integrate ESG principles into business curricula, and strengthen women’s participation in management.
