A department that trains specialists in the field of psychology, pedagogy and educational technology. The main goal of the department is to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to work in the field of education, psychology, counselling and social work.
The department usually includes the following areas:
1. Psychology - the study of mental processes, personality, interpersonal relationships and behaviour. This may include both theoretical and practical aspects of psychology such as developmental psychology, personality psychology, clinical and counselling psychology.
2. Pedagogy is the science of human upbringing, learning and development. The department trains future teachers in modern methods and technologies of teaching, principles and approaches in the educational process, as well as organisational aspects of pedagogical activity.
The Department of Psychology and Pedagogy trains specialists to work in schools, universities, kindergartens, as well as in institutions of social work, health care and psychotherapy. Students are trained not only in theoretical aspects, but also acquire practical skills for working with children and adults in different educational and social contexts.
