A NEW ACADEMIC BRIDGE IN CENTRAL ASIA: ISFT AND EUROPE DIALOGUE
The International School of Finance, Technology and Science (ISFT) Institute, located in the heart of Tashkent, has been gaining a new face not only in Uzbekistan, but also in the entire Central Asian scientific community in recent years. On February 27, 2025, the ISFT Institute held an international conference on the topic “Dialectic of Traditional and Modern Approaches in the Social, Humanitarian and Natural Sciences”, raising its flag high in the arena of global scientific dialogue.
Angelo Scorza, director of the famous Italian news agency “Ship2Shore”, attended this conference as an honorary guest. Our guest, who visited Uzbekistan for the first time, was deeply impressed by the sincerity of the ISFT Institute, the scientific aspirations of the students, and the innovative spirit of the team. In his speech, Scorza, who spoke about the city of Genoa and its role in the history of Italian maritime, commercial and financial history, drew intellectual parallels with the new scientific center emerging in Tashkent - the ISFT Institute, using historical evidence.
The Italian journalist described the ISFT Institute as “a place that can compete with modern European culture in terms of scientific research and academic approaches.” He especially recognized the enthusiasm of young scientists working at the institute, their language skills, openness to international cooperation, and advanced approaches in educational technologies. In particular, the scientific initiatives of the ISFT Institute’s leadership were particularly noteworthy.
Angelo Scorza dedicated the special 42nd issue of the “Ship2Shore” magazine to Uzbekistan and the ISFT Institute. It says, among other things:
“Yesterday morning, when I landed at Tashkent International Airport, it was snowing, and although we were not used to this kind of weather, we were greeted very warmly.”
The Italian guest, speaking about the role of the ISFT Institute in science, culture and international cooperation, called it a new intellectual “portal” of Uzbekistan. In his opinion, this place is becoming a bridge for modern scientific relations between the East and the West.
Thus, the ISFT Institute is today becoming a center of modern knowledge and international relations, which is of great value not only for the national education system, but also for the entire Eurasian scientific space.
