
A scientific seminar on effective use of international scientific databases was held
On April 17, 2026, a scientific seminar titled “Effective Use of International Scientific Databases” was held at ISFT Institute as part of the scientific seminar week.
The seminar featured presentations by PhD, Associate Professor Sherzod Khalilov and PhD, Associate Professor Feruza Manukyan, who delivered comprehensive analytical insights into both theoretical and practical aspects of working within the global scientific information environment.
In particular, the functional capabilities and research applications of platforms such as ResearchGate, Google Scholar, PubMed, Academia.edu, and OpenAIRE were thoroughly analyzed.
The seminar covered key areas including: features and use of international scientific databases; methods for identifying reliable and high-impact academic sources; the role of modern electronic resources in enhancing research methodology; opportunities provided by Open Access systems; and practical strategies to improve research efficiency.
Participants gained both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, including creating academic profiles, publishing research papers, managing citations, and improving research performance indicators.
The seminar concluded with an interactive discussion session, where participants received detailed answers and professional recommendations on advancing research practices and strengthening international scientific collaboration.
It was emphasized that continued efforts are needed to enhance the use of international scientific databases, improve the quality of research outputs, and increase researchers’ engagement within the global scientific community.
