
ISFT Students Demonstrate Excellence in “Munozara” Republican Debate Tournament
Students of ISFT Institute successfully participated in the territorial qualifying stage of the republican debate tournament “Munozara,” organized in accordance with the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PQ–4306 dated May 3, 2019. The qualifying stage was held in Tashkent from April 25 to May 2 and aimed to strengthen critical thinking, analytical skills, and civic engagement among university students.
Representing ISFT, the “Political Doctors” debate team demonstrated strong logical reasoning and communication skills during the competition held at the Tashkent Medical Academy on May 1. Among teams representing 12 higher education institutions, the ISFT team achieved an honorable 2nd place in the regional qualifiers. The event brought together more than 80 students, mentors, and organizers, with nearly 45% female participation, encouraging inclusive academic dialogue and collaborative learning.
The “Munozara” project focuses on developing students’ ability to think critically, express ideas clearly, defend arguments with evidence, and engage in a respectful debate culture. The initiative also supports the identification and encouragement of socially active and talented youth capable of contributing to society through constructive dialogue.
This initiative contributes directly to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions) by promoting inclusive participation, communication competencies, and democratic discussion among young people. ISFT continues to support intellectual development and sustainable educational initiatives aligned with international academic standards.
