Inter-University Hackathon: Advancing Practice-Oriented Learning Beyond the Classroom

On April 25, 2026, ISFT Institute, in collaboration with Bucheon University in Tashkent, Tashkent State University of Economics, and the Management Development Institute of Singapore in Tashkent (MDIS), organized an Inter-University Hackathon at Founders Hub, Tashkent. The event was held in partnership with UNDP Uzbekistan, as well as Founders Hub and AI Station, creating a collaborative platform for experiential learning and industry engagement.

The hackathon brought together 15 students working in 4 interdisciplinary teams. Over the course of one intensive day, participants addressed real-world challenges in FinTech and E-commerce, developing innovative solutions and presenting their projects to an expert jury. The panel included Aziza Satybaldyeva, Axror-Murod Zikrillo, and Umed Rakhimov. Students received professional feedback, strengthening their competencies in teamwork, entrepreneurial thinking, and presentation skills.
This initiative directly contributes to SDG 4 (Quality Education) by promoting practice-oriented and inclusive learning, SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) through the development of employability and entrepreneurial skills, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by fostering inter-institutional and industry collaboration. ISFT remains committed to bridging the gap between academia and industry by creating impactful learning environments that prepare students for real-world challenges.
